Don’t worry we have teamed up with our Centres and Skyline Events to provide you with exciting #LakesideChallenges.
Fundraise at work, enjoy time with your team and do your bit for charity.
Simply contact us and request a collection tin or bucket and encourage your staff, customers and visitors to contribute
Can you get your office to come together and compete over who will win Strictly Come Dancing, The X Factor or Wimbledon?
Get everyone to agree to a cheat day and put those culinary talents to good use and bake your favourite cakes and hold a cake sale. You can give badges of honor for the best cakes, the wackiest biscuits and the tastiest frosting.
Get the cocktail dresses, tuxes, jeans, pajamas, and dodgy halloween costumes out and have a day where everyone pays £1 to dress down or dress up. Offer a prize for the winner, most unusual and enjoy a day of laughter.
Whatever you raise, your employer could match it and double your fundraising!
Everyone likes challenging the boss to a dare! Staff can donate and vote for a daring challenge for your Head of Department/CEO at the same time. Seeing the boss in a silly outfit is always a crowd-pleaser! It could be dressing in a terrible wig or Santa outfit or for him/her to take on a new role for the day. Photos of course will need to be taken and put on the staff intranet or social media pages. It’s all in a good cause after all.
Take part in a Bad Hair Day with your colleagues, don a multi coloured wig, or the very brave could go for a total head shave. Pay to take part and/or sponsor those taking part and don’t forget to share photos (with permission) on social media or intranet. One for the staff magazine perhaps?
Calling all would be entrepreneurs! Each team gets a small budget. Their task is to use their wit and skill to increase their funds in an agreed amount of time, in a legal and safe manner of course.
Climb Scafell Pike or run the distance between YMCA Fylde Coast Offices and YMCA Lakeside without leaving the gym, or ask everyone
to take part in a step challenge. Use a pedometer smartphone app and aim for a collective number of miles, which could be racked up by walking up the stairs, to work or between offices.
Or why not take on a real challenge, a trek, skydive or overseas challenge, check out our adrenaline fuelled events in Challenge4Lakeside events.
Fundraise for us at your School
Have you or your School ever been to YMCA Lakeside? If you want to help fundraise for our new Schools Facility there are some ideas below.
Whether it’s a superhero or a hero from your favourite book, transform yourself and raise money for us
Have a fun dress down day and go YMCA Lakeside blue! Or have a day of colour by wearing your brightest clothes, fluorescent face paint or boldest hat.
Get all of your friends together to organise a bake sale to raise money for the Changing young lives appeal. You could have a theme, such as the Cupcake Wars between teams of your classmates! May the best year group win!
Show your support by coming to school with crazy hair or wearing a wacky wig.
Give everyone a tube of smarties, they are allowed to eat the contents in return for filling the tube with coins! Offer the prize for the most money raised.
Get the PTA or parents involved with a coffee morning event or a quiz. Add to the fundraising with a raffle or tombola.
